Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Sañjaya on Arjuna’s Indraloka report and the political consequences
The verse highlights dharmic restraint and proper conduct: even when encountering beauty and power, one should respond with modesty, self-control, and respectful honor appropriate to status and relationship (treating Urvaśī with guru-like reverence).
Vaiśampāyana describes Arjuna seeing the apsaras Urvaśī; Arjuna lowers/averts his eyes out of modesty, offers formal salutations, and honors her with the respect customarily shown to a guru or venerable elder.
