क्षणेन क्षीणबाणो<थ संवृत्त: फाल्गुनस्तदा | भीश्वैनमाविशत् तीव्रा तं दृष्टवा शरसंक्षयम्,उस समय एक ही क्षणमें अर्जुनके सारे बाण समाप्त हो चले। उन बाणोंका इस प्रकार विनाश देखकर उनके मनमें बड़ा भय समा गया
kṣaṇena kṣīṇabāṇo ’tha saṃvṛttaḥ phālgunas tadā | bhīśv enam āviśat tīvrā taṃ dṛṣṭvā śarasaṃkṣayam ||
En un solo instante, Phālguna (Arjuna) halló agotada su provisión de flechas. Al ver aquella súbita merma de proyectiles, un miedo agudo se apoderó de él: un sobresalto interior ante la posibilidad de quedar desarmado en medio del peligro.
