Bhīmasena’s Discourse on Kāla, Resolve, and the Feasibility of Ajñātavāsa (भीमसेनस्य कालोपदेशः)
The verse emphasizes that sacred knowledge (vidyā) is not merely information but a transformative attainment—‘like embodied siddhi’—and that such teaching is properly bestowed when the student approaches in surrender and receptivity.
Vyāsa, speaking as a guru, grants a specific discipline/knowledge called Pratismṛti to a seeker who has taken refuge in him, framing the instruction as a compassionate transmission given due to the disciple’s śaraṇāgati.
