Dharma-śaṅkā-nivāraṇa: Yudhiṣṭhira’s Response on Karma-Phala and Trust in Dharma

One should understand the real causes behind success and failure. Those who ignore the threefold causal framework (commonly explained as destiny/divine factor, personal effort, and inherent nature) remain like the uninstructed crowd, unable to act wisely or judge events ethically.
Yudhiṣṭhira is reflecting on how people interpret gain and loss. He criticizes the tendency to remain ignorant of the underlying causes of prosperity and adversity, framing this as a moral-intellectual failing relevant to dharma and right conduct.
