अस्तौषं तमहं देवं सत्येन वचसा विभुम् | पज्च वै तेन मे दत्ता वरा: शूणुत तान् मम,उस समय मैंने सत्यवचनोंद्वारा उन भगवान् यमकी स्तुति की। तब उन्होंने मुझे पाँच वर दिये। उन वरोंको आप मुझसे सुनिये
astauṣaṃ tam ahaṃ devaṃ satyena vacasā vibhum | pañca vai tena me dattā varāḥ śṛṇuta tān mama ||
Sāvitrī dijo: «Entonces alabé a aquel dios soberano con palabras de verdad. Complacido, me concedió cinco dones. Ahora escuchad de mí cuáles fueron esos dones.»
