Even amid hardship and displacement, one should proceed in a dhārmic manner—seeking auspicious blessings, respecting sacred rites, and valuing the guidance of learned elders and the support of the righteous community.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that the Pāṇḍavas, after receiving svastyayana (protective benedictions), depart with their priest Dhaumya, accompanied by groups of brāhmaṇas, and travel toward the Kāmyaka forest.
