Yakṣa-saṃvāda: Yudhiṣṭhira’s Interrogation at the Guarded Water
मेध्यारण्यं स गत्वा च झुमत्सेनाश्रमं नृप: । पद्धयामेव द्विजै: सार्ध राजर्षि तमुपागमत्,पवित्र वनमें द्युमत्सेनके आश्रमके निकट पहुँचकर राजा अभश्वपति ब्राह्मणोंके साथ पैदल ही उन राजर्षिके पास गये
medhyāraṇyaṃ sa gatvā ca dyumatsenāśramaṃ nṛpaḥ | padbhyām eva dvijaiḥ sārdhaṃ rājarṣiṃ tam upāgamat ||
Dijo Mārkaṇḍeya: Tras llegar al bosque purificador y acercarse al eremitorio de Dyumatsena, el rey Aśvapati fue a pie, junto con los brahmanes, a presentarse ante aquel sabio real.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
True authority is shown through humility and dharmic conduct: the king approaches a sage respectfully, on foot and in the company of brāhmaṇas, indicating that spiritual merit and ethical discipline outrank royal pomp.
Mārkaṇḍeya narrates that King Aśvapati reaches the sacred forest and comes near Dyumatsena’s hermitage; then he personally walks to meet the royal sage, accompanied by brāhmaṇas.
