Adhiratha-Rādhā Discover the Casket; Vasuṣeṇa (Karṇa) is Adopted and Formed
अवध्य: सर्वभूतानां मत्प्रसादात् पुराभवत् । कस्माच्चित् कारणात् पाप: कज्चित् कालमुपेक्षित:,पूर्वकालमें मेरे ही प्रसादसे यह समस्त प्राणियोंके लिये अवध्य हो गया था। किसी कारणवश ही कुछ कालतक इस पापीकी उपेक्षा की गयी थी
avadhyaḥ sarvabhūtānāṁ matprasādāt purābhavat | kasmāc cit kāraṇāt pāpaḥ kaścit kālam upekṣitaḥ ||
«Antaño, por mi favor, se volvió invulnerable para todos los seres. Pero, por alguna razón, a este pecador se le toleró—se le dejó sin castigo—durante cierto tiempo.»
