विभीषणर्क्षाधिपती पुरस्कृत्याथ लक्ष्मण: । दक्षिणं नगरद्वारमवामृद्नाद् दुरासदम्,नगरके दक्षिण द्वारमें प्रवेश करना बहुत कठिन था, परंतु लक्ष्मणने विभीषण और जाम्बवानको आगे करके उसे भी धूलमें मिला दिया
vibhīṣaṇarkṣādhipatī puraskṛtyātha lakṣmaṇaḥ | dakṣiṇaṃ nagaradvāram avāmṛdnād durāsadam ||
Dijo Mārkaṇḍeya: Entonces Lakṣmaṇa, poniendo al frente a Vibhīṣaṇa y a Jāmbavān, señor de los osos, aplastó la puerta meridional de la ciudad, un acceso que de otro modo era sumamente difícil de asaltar.
