मार्कण्डेय उवाच एवमुक्ता ततः स्वाहा तुष्टा स्कन्देन पूजिता । पावकेन समायुक्ता भर्त्रा स्कन्दमपूजयत्,मार्कण्डेयजी कहते हैं--युधिष्ठिर! स्कन्दके इस प्रकार कहने और आदर देनेपर स्वाहा बहुत संतुष्ट हुई। अपने स्वामी अग्निदेवका संयोग पाकर उसने भी स्कन्दका पूजन किया
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca evam uktā tataḥ svāhā tuṣṭā skandena pūjitā | pāvakena samāyuktā bhartrā skandam apūjayat ||
Mārkaṇḍeya dijo: Dicho esto y honrada por Skanda, Svāhā quedó complacida. Luego, reunida con Pāvaka (Agni), su esposo, ella también rindió culto a Skanda en correspondencia.
