पञ्चवर्णोत्पत्तिः — The Origin of the Five-Colored Fiery Being and Ritual-Disruptor Lineages
यथाश्रुतिरियं ब्रह्मन्ू जीव: किल सनातन: । शरीरमध्ृर॒वं लोके सर्वेषां प्राणिनामिह,विप्रवर! श्रुतिके अनुसार यह जीवात्मा निश्चय ही सनातन है और इस संसारमें समस्त प्राणियोंका शरीर नश्वर है
yathāśrutir iyaṃ brahman jīvaḥ kila sanātanaḥ | śarīram adhruvaṃ loke sarveṣāṃ prāṇinām iha ||
El cazador dijo: «Oh brahmán, según se ha oído y transmitido en la enseñanza védica, el sí mismo (ātman) es en verdad eterno; pero en este mundo el cuerpo de todo ser viviente es inestable y perecedero. Por ello, no te aferres al cuerpo como al yo verdadero: obra con discernimiento y conforme al dharma, recordando lo que perdura y lo que pasa».
