Guṇa-vibhāga and Prāṇa–Agni–Yoga Upadeśa (गुणविभाग तथा प्राण-अग्नि-योगोपदेश)
तेजसा तव तेजश्व विष्णुराप्याययिष्यति । विष्णुना च वरो दत्त: पूर्व मम महीपते,भूपाल! भगवान् विष्णु अपने तेजसे आपके तेजको बढ़ायेंगे। उन्होंने पूर्वकालमें मुझे यह वर दिया था कि जो राजा उस भयानक एवं महान् असुरका वध करनेको उद्यत होगा, उस दुर्धर्ष वीरके भीतर मेरा वैष्णव तेज प्रवेश करेगा
tejasā tava tejaśva viṣṇur āpyāyayiṣyati | viṣṇunā ca varo dattaḥ pūrvaṁ mama mahīpate bhūpāla |
Uttanka dijo: «Oh rey resplandeciente, el Señor Viṣṇu fortalecerá tu esplendor con su propia energía divina. Hace mucho, oh señor de la tierra, Viṣṇu me concedió una gracia: el rey que se alce para dar muerte a ese asura terrible y poderoso, en ese héroe inconquistable entrará mi poder vaiṣṇava».
