Indradyumna Upākhyāna: On Kīrti, Smṛti, and Restoration
क्रमश: संश्रयिष्यन्ति युगान्ते पर्युपस्थिते । हा तात हा सुतेत्येवं तदा वाच: सुदारुणा:,प्रायः लोग स्वदेश छोड़कर दूसरे देशों, दिशाओं, नगरों और गाँवोंका आश्रय लेंगे और हा तात! हा पुत्र! इत्यादि रूपसे अत्यन्त दुःखद वाणीमें एक-दूसरेको पुकारते हुए इस पृथ्वीपर विचरेंगे। युगान्तकालमें संसारकी यही दशा होगी। उस समय एक ही साथ समस्त लोकोंका भयंकर संहार होगा
kramaśaḥ saṁśrayiṣyanti yugānte paryupasthite | hā tāta hā sutety evaṁ tadā vācaḥ sudāruṇāḥ ||
Mārkaṇḍeya dijo: «Cuando se acerque el fin de la era, los hombres, poco a poco, buscarán refugio en otros lugares—abandonando sus propias patrias por otras regiones, rumbos, ciudades y aldeas. Entonces, llamándose unos a otros con voces de extrema congoja—“¡Ay, padre! ¡Ay, hijo!”—vagarán por la faz de la tierra. Tal será la condición del mundo al término del yuga, cuando una destrucción terrible alcance a todos los pueblos de una sola vez».
