Sarasvatī–Tārkṣya Saṃvāda: Agnihotra-vidhi, Dāna-phala, and Mokṣa-prasaṅga (सरस्वती–तार्क्ष्यसंवादः)
निर्मलानि शरीराणि विशुद्धानि शरीरिणाम् । ससर्ज धर्मतन्त्राणि पूर्वोत्पन्न: प्रजापति:
nirmalāni śarīrāṇi viśuddhāni śarīriṇām | sasarja dharmatantṛāṇi pūrvotpannaḥ prajāpatiḥ ||
Dijo Mārkaṇḍeya: «Para los seres encarnados, Prajāpati—el que surgió primero—dio origen a cuerpos inmaculados y puros, y también estableció los sistemas ordenados del dharma, los marcos que regulan la recta conducta y la ley cósmica».
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse links ethical order (dharma) with the very structure of creation: the primordial progenitor not only forms pure bodies for beings but also institutes dharma-frameworks, implying that moral law is foundational to life and society, not a later human invention.
Mārkaṇḍeya, speaking within his discourse, describes an early cosmogonic moment: Prajāpati, as the first-arisen creator, generates pure embodied forms and simultaneously sets up the governing systems of dharma that guide beings’ conduct and sustain order.
