Arjuna said: “The touch of my arrows was like Indra’s thunderbolt. Shot with great speed and unfailing in their course, they struck their foes straightway. Wounded by my shafts, all those Dānavas were thrown into fearful agitation.”

The verse highlights the ethical dimension of kṣātra-dharma (warrior duty): disciplined strength and precision in battle can subdue adharma-aligned forces. The comparison to Indra’s vajra frames Arjuna’s power as righteous, decisive force rather than mere violence.
Arjuna describes how his arrows, swift and unerring, struck the Dānavas with thunderbolt-like impact. As they were wounded by his shafts, the Dānavas became terrified and agitated, indicating Arjuna’s dominance in the encounter.
