Indra’s Meeting with the Pāṇḍavas
तमासीन॑ महाकाया: शड्कुकर्णा महाजवा: । उपोपविविशुर्यक्षा राक्षसाश्न॒ सहस्रश:,विमानपर बैठे हुए कुबेरके पास कील-जैसी कानवाले तीव्र वेगशशाली विशालकाय सहसौरों यक्ष-राक्षस भी बैठे थे। जैसे देवता इन्द्रको घेरकर खड़े होते हैं, उसी प्रकार सैकड़ों गन्धर्व और अप्सराओंके गण कुबेरको सब ओरसे घेरकर खड़े थे
tam āsīnaṁ mahākāyāḥ śaṅkukārṇā mahājavāḥ | upopaviśur yakṣā rākṣasāś ca sahasraśaḥ ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: Mientras Kubera estaba allí sentado, miles y miles de poderosos Yakṣas y Rākṣasas—de cuerpos enormes, veloces en el movimiento y con orejas como púas—tomaron asiento cerca de él. Y así como los dioses rodean a Indra, del mismo modo compañías de Gandharvas y huestes de Apsarasas cercaron a Kubera por todos lados, atendiéndolo en orden reverente.
