इन्द्रस्य पाण्डवैः समागमः
Indra’s Meeting with the Pāṇḍavas
अर्थधर्मावनादृत्य यः पापे कुरुते मन: । कर्मणां पार्थ पापानां स फल विन््दते ध्रुवम् । पुनरेवं न कर्तव्यं मम चेदिच्छसि प्रियम्,पार्थ! जो अर्थ और धर्मका अनादर करके पापमें मन लगाता है उसे पापकर्मोका फल अवश्य प्राप्त होता है। यदि तुम वही कार्य करना चाहते हो जो मुझे प्रिय लगे तो आजसे फिर कभी ऐसा काम तुम्हें नहीं करना चाहिये
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca |
arthadharmāv anādṛtya yaḥ pāpe kurute manaḥ |
karmaṇāṃ pārtha pāpānāṃ sa phalaṃ vindate dhruvam |
punar evaṃ na kartavyaṃ mama ced icchasi priyam ||
Yudhiṣṭhira dijo: «Oh Pārtha, quien desprecia tanto el bienestar material como el dharma y vuelve su mente hacia el pecado, sin duda recibe el fruto de las acciones impías. Si deseas hacer lo que me agrada, entonces desde hoy no debes volver a hacer algo así jamás».
