Hanūmān’s Embrace, Counsel, and Promise to Amplify Bhīma’s Battle-Roar
Gandhamādana Continuation
The verse highlights an ethical ideal of communal life: where conflict is absent, destructive emotions and behaviors—hatred, slander, fear, distress, jealousy, and envy—also do not arise. It points to inner discipline and social harmony as mutually reinforcing.
Bhīma is describing a condition or place characterized by moral and emotional well-being—emphasizing that there was no strife and therefore none of the accompanying vices such as sloth, malice, backbiting, fear, anguish, jealousy, or envy.
