Educational Q&A

This line is a colophon marking the close of a chapter and situating it within the pilgrimage narrative. Its ethical-religious emphasis is indirect: it frames the episode as part of a tīrthayātrā context, where sacred travel, remembrance of holy places, and disciplined conduct are treated as sources of purification and merit.

The text is concluding a chapter in the Tīrthayātrā Parva, specifically the segment describing entry into Gandhamādana during Lomasa’s account. It functions as an editorial/narrative marker rather than spoken dialogue.
