The Birth and Career Account of Māndhātṛ
लोमश उवाच शृणुष्वावहितो राजनू् राज्ञस्तस्य महात्मन: । यथा मान्धातृशब्दो वै लोकेषु परिगीयते,लोमशजीने कहा--राजन्! लोकमें उन महामना नरेशका “*मान्धाता” नाम कैसे प्रचलित हुआ? यह बतलाता हूँ, ध्यान देकर सुनो
Lomaśa uvāca: śṛṇuṣvāvahito rājan rājñas tasya mahātmanaḥ | yathā Māndhātṛ-śabdo vai lokeṣu parigīyate ||
Lomaśa dijo: «Escucha con atención, oh Rey, mientras explico acerca de aquel monarca de gran alma: cómo es que el nombre “Māndhātṛ” es celebrado y cantado por todos los mundos».
