तत्रातिष्ठत राजेन्द्र पूर्वमेव समाहित: । यत् प्राश्य प्रसवेत् तस्य पत्नी शक्रसमं सुतम्,महाराज! वह कलशका जल पहलेसे ही आश्रमके भीतर इस उद्देश्यसे रखा गया था कि उसे पीकर राजा युवनाश्वकी रानी इन्द्रके समान शक्तिशाली पुत्रको जन्म दे सके
tatrātiṣṭhata rājendra pūrvam eva samāhitaḥ | yat prāśya prasavet tasya patnī śakrasamaṃ sutam, mahārāja |
Lomaśa dijo: «Oh el mejor de los reyes, esa agua ya había sido guardada allí, dentro de la ermita, con una intención fija: que, al beberla, su reina concibiera y diera a luz un hijo igual en poder a Śakra (Indra), oh gran rey.»
लोमश उवाच
The verse highlights purposeful ritual action guided by intention (saṅkalpa): blessings and outcomes are linked to disciplined preparation and dharmic aims, especially in the context of kingship and the desire for worthy progeny.
Lomaśa explains that a special water kept in the hermitage had been set aside in advance so that, when drunk, it would enable the king’s queen to bear a son as powerful as Indra.
