Sātyaki’s Call for Intervention and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Vow-Bound Restraint (सात्यकिवाक्यं—धर्मराजस्य धैर्यनिश्चयः)

यदर्थमभ्युद्यतमुत्तमं तत्‌ करोति कर्माग्रयमपारणीयम्‌ । तस्यास्त्रवर्षाण्यहमुत्तमास्त्रै- विंहत्य सर्वाणि रणेडभिभूय,जिसके लिये सुयोग्य शिष्य या पुत्र उत्तम अस्त्र-शस्त्र उठाता है तथा युद्धमें श्रेष्ठ एवं अपार पराक्रम कर दिखाता है, उसकी पूर्तिका यही अवसर है। मैं संग्रामभूमिमें अपने उत्तम आयुधोंद्वारा शत्रुओंकी सारी अस्त्र-वर्षाको नष्ट करके उनके समस्त सैनिकोंको परास्त कर दूँगा

yadartham abhyudyatam uttamaṃ tat karoti karmāgryam apāraṇīyam | tasyāstravarṣāṇy aham uttamāstrair vighatya sarvāṇi raṇe 'bhibhūya ||

Dijo Balarāma: «Ese mismo propósito por el cual un hijo o discípulo digno empuña las mejores armas y realiza las hazañas más altas con un valor inconmensurable—éste es el momento de cumplirlo. En el campo de batalla, con mis armas supremas, haré añicos toda la lluvia de proyectiles del enemigo y, dominándolos en combate, desbarataré a todas sus fuerzas.»
