Kirmīra-rākṣasa-saṃgamaḥ (Encounter and Slaying of Kirmīra) | किर्मीरेण सह भीमसेनसमागमः
वैनतेयो यथा पक्षी गरुत्मान् पततां वर: । तथैवाभिपतिष्यामि भयं वो नेह विद्यते,उस समय वहाँ वायुके समान वेग और पराक्रमवाले महाबाहु भीमसेनने आर्या कुन्ती तथा भाइयोंको आश्वासन देते हुए कहा--'पक्षियोंमें श्रेष्ठ विनतानन्दन गरुड जैसे उड़ा करते हैं, उसी प्रकार मैं भी तुम सबको लेकर यहाँसे चल दूँगा। अतः तुम्हें यहाँ तनिक भी भय नहीं है”
vainateyo yathā pakṣī garutmān patatāṃ varaḥ | tathaivābhipatiṣyāmi bhayaṃ vo neha vidyate ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: «Como Vainateya—Garutmān, el más excelso entre los seres alados—se remonta en el aire, así también yo me lanzaré del mismo modo. Aquí no hay para vosotros temor alguno». (En el contexto, Bhīma tranquiliza a Kuntī y a sus hermanos, prometiendo una acción veloz y protectora que disipa su ansiedad.)
