Pilgrimage to Sea Tīrthas, Śūrpāraka, and Prabhāsa
स तेन तीर्थन तु सागरस्य पुन: प्रयातः सह सोदरीयै: । द्विजै: पृथिव्यां प्रथितं महद्ि- स्तीर्थ प्रभासं समुपाजगाम,वहाँसे प्रस्थित हो वे भाइयोंसहित सागरतटवर्ती तीर्थोंके मार्गसे होते हुए फिर प्रभासक्षेत्र आये जो श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणोंके कारण भूमण्डलमें अधिक प्रसिद्ध है
sa tena tīrthena tu sāgarasya punaḥ prayātaḥ saha sodarīyaiḥ | dvijaiḥ pṛthivyāṃ prathitaṃ mahad hi tīrthaṃ prabhāsaṃ samupājagāma ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: «Tras visitar aquel vado sagrado junto al mar, partió de nuevo con sus hermanos. Viajando por la ruta de peregrinación costera, llegó otra vez al lugar santo de Prabhāsa, célebre en toda la tierra, sobre todo por la presencia y santidad de eminentes Brahmanes.»
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the dharmic value of tīrtha-yātrā: returning to renowned sacred places—especially those upheld by learned and disciplined Brahmins—is portrayed as a means of moral and spiritual reorientation, not merely physical movement.
After visiting a sea-side tīrtha, the traveler (with his brothers) continues along the coastal pilgrimage route and arrives again at Prabhāsa, a major sacred site famous throughout the world.
