लोगश उवाच
The verse praises the ethical duty of safeguarding yajña (sacrificial order) from violent disruption: power and martial skill are validated when used to protect dharma and the sanctity of sacred rites.
The speaker recalls a past exploit: the hero addressed had previously slain the renowned Asura Jambha, described as a cruel archer who used to disturb and ruin sacrifices.
