Kṛṣṇa at Duryodhana’s House: Refusal of Hospitality and Departure to Vidura (कृष्णस्य धार्तराष्ट्रनिवेशनगमनम्)
The verse highlights the ideal of controlled power: true excellence is not merely physical might, but a radiance and nobility that command respect—strength that is recognized as formidable yet aligned with rightful purpose.
In Vaiśampāyana’s narration, Bhīmasena is introduced in exalted terms—radiant, foremost, and terrifying even to behold—while addressing Janārdana (Kṛṣṇa) and asking for news or an account concerning Bhīma.
