अध्याय ८ — शल्यस्य सत्कारः, वरदानं, पाण्डवसमागमश्च (Śalya’s Reception, the Boon, and Meeting the Pāṇḍavas)

युधिष्ठिर! महात्मा पुरुष भी समय-समयपर दु:ख पाते हैं। पृथ्वीपते! देवताओंने भी बहुत दुःख उठाये हैं ।।
Translation
¡Yudhiṣṭhira! Aun los hombres de gran alma padecen aflicción de tiempo en tiempo. ¡Señor de la tierra! También los dioses han soportado muchos sufrimientos. Oh rey de la estirpe de Bharata: se oye decir que incluso Indra, el rey de los dioses, magnánimo, junto con su esposa, hubo de experimentar un dolor inmenso.
