ते स्मरन्तश्न संग्रामे चरिष्यन्ति च रुद्रवत् । द्यूतक्रीड़ाके समय द्रौपदीको जो महान् क्लेश दिया गया और पाण्डवोंके प्रति कठोर बातें सुनायी गयीं
te smarantas tu saṅgrāme cariṣyanti ca rudravat | dyūtakrīḍā-kāle draupadyā mahān kleśo yaḥ pradattaḥ pāṇḍavān prati ca kaṭhorāṇi vacāṃsi śrāvitāni tāni sarvāṇi smṛtvā te raṇabhūmau rudrasamaṃ vicariṣyanti |
Dijo Bhīṣma: «Recordándolo en medio de la batalla, se moverán como Rudra. Al traer a la memoria la gran humillación infligida a Draupadī en el juego de dados y las palabras crueles lanzadas contra los Pāṇḍava, recorrerán el campo de guerra como Rudra.»
