धृष्टद्युम्नमहं मन््ये सेनापतिमरिंदम । “हमारी सेना अत्यन्त शक्तिशाली, दुर्धर्ष और दुर्गम है। वह युद्धमें धृतराष्ट्रपुत्रोंकी सेनाका संहार कर डालेगी, इसमें संशय नहीं है। शत्रुदमन! मैं धृष्टद्युम्नको ही प्रधान सेनापति होनेयोग्य मानता हूँ || ४८ है ।।
dhṛṣṭadyumnam ahaṃ manye senāpatim ariṃdama | evam ukte tu kṛṣṇena samprahṛṣyann narottamāḥ |
«Considero a Dhṛṣṭadyumna digno de ser el comandante del ejército, oh domador de enemigos.» Cuando Kṛṣṇa habló así, los Pāṇḍavas, los mejores de los hombres, se llenaron de júbilo. Luego, clamando: «¡Preparaos, preparaos!», todos los soldados corrieron con premura en los afanes de la guerra, y el gran grito de alegría de aquellos héroes resonó por doquier.
