धृतराष्ट्रस्य वंशोपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Dynastic Counsel on Legitimate Rule
नीचै: स्थित्वा तु विदुर उपास्ते सम विनीतवत् । प्रेष्पवत् पुरुषव्याप्रो वालव्यजनमुत्क्षिपन्
nīcaiḥ sthitvā tu vidura upāste sama-vinītavat | preṣpavat puruṣa-vyāghro vāla-vyajanam utkṣipan ||
Entonces Vidura, de pie humildemente más abajo como un servidor bien adiestrado, atendió a Dhṛtarāṣṭra con cortesía serena y ánimo ecuánime. Como un tigre entre los hombres, alzó y agitó el abanico de cola de yak (cāmara), eligiendo la disciplina y el dominio de sí antes que el orgullo: una muestra de dharma, cumplir el deber sin ego aun en la tensa casa real.
