ययातिदौहित्रपुण्यसमुच्चयः | Yayāti and the Grandsons’ Consolidation of Merit
'ये आपको तार देंगे। दौहित्रोंके द्वारा मातामह (नाना)-का यह उद्धार पुरातन वेदशास्त्रमें स्पष्ट देखा गया है। राजन! मैं आपकी पुत्री माधवी हूँ और इस तपोवनमें मृगोंके समान जीवनचर्या बनाकर विचरती हूँ ।। मयाप्युपचितो धर्मस्ततो<र्थ प्रतिगृह्मताम् । यस्माद् राजन् नरा: सर्वे अपत्यफलभागिन:
mayāpy upacito dharmas tato 'rthaṃ pratigṛhṇatām | yasmād rājan narāḥ sarve apatyaphalabhāginaḥ ||
«Yo también he acumulado mérito (dharma); por ello, que sea aceptado para este propósito. Pues, oh rey, todos los hombres comparten el fruto que llega por medio de la descendencia».
