Adhyāya 108: Paścima-dik—Varuṇa’s Realm, Sunset Cosmology, and Sacred-Geographic Markers
Suparṇa–Gālava
As a colophon, the verse does not add new instruction; it frames the reading ethically by locating the Galava episode within the Bhagavad-yāna context—where counsel, restraint, and rightful action (dharma) are weighed before conflict.
The chapter concludes. The text formally signals that this is the end of the 109th chapter within the Udyoga Parva, specifically in the Bhagavad-yāna section, and that the preceding material belonged to the Galava narrative.
