Educational Q&A

The verse underscores dharma through atithi-satkara and dāna: even in a context shaped by war narratives, the tradition insists on honoring brāhmaṇas and maintaining sacred duties of hospitality and reverence.

The narrator notes that, in connection with the events of the Droṇa Parva, brāhmaṇas were given a meal that was treated as highly honored—suggesting a formal, respectful offering rather than ordinary feeding.
