हर्षस्थानसहस्राणि भयस्थानशतानि च । दिवसे दिवसे मूढमाविशन्ति न पण्डितम्‌

Transliteration

harṣasthānasahasrāṇi bhayasthānaśatāni ca | divase divase mūḍham āviśanti na paṇḍitam ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana dijo: «Día tras día, miles de ocasiones de gozo y cientos de ocasiones de temor asaltan al necio; pero no logran dominar al sabio.»
