Indra and Dharma’s Consolation; Celestial Gaṅgā Purification
उपर्युपरि राज्ञां हि तव लोका युधिष्छिर । हरिश्वन्द्रसमा: पार्थ येषु त्वं विहरिष्यसि
uparyupari rājñāṁ hi tava lokā yudhiṣṭhira | hariścandrasamāḥ pārtha yeṣu tvaṁ viharīṣyasi ||
Dijo Vaiśaṃpāyana: «Oh Yudhiṣṭhira, hijo de Pṛthā, los mundos que te han sido concedidos son, en verdad, más altos que los mundos de otros reyes—como los alcanzados por el rey Hariścandra. En esos reinos excelsos, oh Pārtha, habitarás y te moverás libremente.»
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Righteous conduct and steadfast adherence to dharma culminate in exalted spiritual reward: Yudhiṣṭhira’s attained realms are portrayed as surpassing those of other kings, comparable to the famed merit of Hariścandra.
In the Svargārohaṇa episode, Vaiśaṃpāyana narrates the outcome of Yudhiṣṭhira’s journey and trials: he is assured of superior heavenly worlds, likened to the celebrated attainment of King Hariścandra, where he will dwell.
