/ ऑपन-माज बक। डे सप्तपजञज्चाशर्दाधिकत्रिशततमो< ध्याय: नागपत्नीके द्वारा ब्राह्मणका सत्कार और वार्तालापके बाद ब्राह्मणके द्वारा नागराजके आगमनकी प्रतीक्षा भीष्म उवाच स वनानि विचित्राणि तीर्थानि च सरांसि च । अभिगच्छन् क्रमेण सम कंचिन्मुनिमुपस्थित:
bhīṣma uvāca | sa vanāni vicitrāṇi tīrthāni ca sarāṃsi ca | abhigacchan krameṇa sa kaṃcin munim upasthitaḥ ||
Dijo Bhīṣma: ¡Oh rey! Aquel brahmán, avanzando paso a paso, atravesó muchos bosques maravillosos, vados sagrados (tīrtha) y lagos; y, a su debido tiempo, llegó a la ermita de un cierto sabio.
भीष्म उवाच
The verse foregrounds disciplined movement through sacred spaces: the brahmin advances gradually (krameṇa), honoring forests, tīrthas, and waters, suggesting that dharmic pursuit is sustained by reverence, restraint, and purposeful travel rather than haste.
Bhishma narrates that the brahmin continues his journey, traversing various forests, pilgrimage sites, and lakes, and eventually reaches the vicinity of an unnamed sage at his hermitage, setting up the next episode of counsel or encounter.
