Nāgendra–Brāhmaṇa Saṃvāda: Praśna-vidhi and Dharmic Approach on the Gomatī Riverbank
All religious acts—yajña for the gods, śrāddha for the ancestors, dāna, and tapas—ultimately rest upon Viṣṇu as the universal refuge; his name “Vāsudeva” highlights him as the indwelling abode and support of all beings.
In the didactic discourse of the Śānti Parva, Vaiśaṃpāyana states a theological conclusion: the efficacy and grounding of varied dharmic practices are traced back to Viṣṇu, who remains established in sovereign divine order and pervades all beings as their dwelling-place.
