मूर्थ्ना प्रणम्य वरदं तस्थौ प्राउ्जलिरग्रत: । स परिष्वज्य देवेन वचन श्रावितस्तदा,उस समय अमित पराक्रमी भगवान् हयग्रीवका दर्शन करके सम्पूर्ण जगत॒के हितकी कामनासे लोककर्ता भगवान् ब्रह्माने उन्हें मस्तक झुकाकर प्रणाम किया और उन वरदायक देवताके सम्मुख वे हाथ जोड़कर खड़े हो गये। तब भगवानने उनको हृदयसे लगाकर यह बात सुनायी
mūrdhnā praṇamya varadaṃ tasthau prāñjalir agrataḥ | sa pariṣvajya devena vacanaṃ śrāvitas tadā ||
Dijo Vyāsa: Tras inclinar la cabeza ante el Señor que otorga dones, Brahmā—el Creador, atento al bienestar del mundo entero—permaneció ante Él con las manos juntas. Entonces el Dios lo abrazó con calidez y le hizo oír estas palabras.
