अग्नीषोमोत्पत्तिः
Agni–Soma Origin and the Brahmāgnīṣomīya Doctrine
एतावदुकक््त्वा वचनं पराशरसुत: प्रभु: । उक्त्वा पुत्रमधीष्वेति व्योमगड्रामगात् तदा
etāvad uktvā vacanaṃ parāśara-sutaḥ prabhuḥ | uktvā putram adhīṣveti vyoma-gaṅgām agāt tadā ||
Dijo Bhishma: «Habiendo dicho solo esto, el poderoso señor, el hijo de Parashara (Vyasa), se dirigió entonces a su hijo: “Ahora emprende la recitación y el estudio del Veda”. Y tras establecer la norma acerca de los días de no-estudio, partió hacia la ribera del Ganges celestial».
भीष्म उवाच
That Vedic study is governed by dharmic discipline: one must observe anadhyaya (periods when recitation is suspended) and then resume study properly under instruction.
Vyasa concludes his explanation about anadhyaya, tells his son Shuka to proceed with Vedic study, and then departs toward the bank of the celestial Ganga.
