Yajña-bhāga-vyavasthā and the Pravṛtti–Nivṛtti Framework (यज्ञभागव्यवस्था तथा प्रवृत्तिनिवृत्तिधर्मविवेचनम्)

रक्षिता स्कन्दराजस्य धर्षणा प्रभविष्णुना । यद्यपि प्रभावशाली भगवान्‌ विष्णु उसे उखाड़ फेंकनेमें समर्थ थे तो भी उन्होंने कुमार स्कन्दका तिरस्कार नहीं होने दिया। उन्हें अपमानसे बचा लिया

rakṣitā skandarājasya dharṣaṇā prabhaviṣṇunā | yadyapi prabhāvaśālī bhagavān viṣṇur enam ukhāḍa-phaṅkane samartho 'bhavat tathāpi teṇa kumāra-skandasya tiraskāro na kṛtaḥ | sa cāpamānāt paritrātaḥ |

Bhishma dijo: La afrenta dirigida a Skanda, el comandante real, fue contenida por el Poderoso. Aunque el Señor Vishnu, en su inmensa potencia, podía arrancarla de raíz y arrojarla lejos, no permitió que el joven Skanda fuese menospreciado; lo preservó de la humillación. La enseñanza es que la verdadera grandeza no se expresa sólo en la fuerza, sino en salvaguardar el honor y el lugar legítimo de otro.
