सत्यनामा वसुमती यं प्राप्पासीज्जनाधिपम् । हिरण्यमवहन् नद्यस्तस्मिज्जनपदेश्वरे,“राजा सुहोत्रको पाकर पृथ्वीका वसुमती नाम सार्थक हो गया था। जिस समय वे जनपदके स्वामी थे, उन दिनों वहाँकी नदियाँ अपने जलके साथ-साथ सुवर्ण बहाया करती थीं
satyanāmā vasumatī yaṃ prāppāsīj janādhipam | hiraṇyam avahan nadyas tasmiñ janapadeśvare ||
Dijo Vāyu: «La tierra se volvió verdaderamente digna de su nombre “Vasumatī” (la Poseedora de riquezas) cuando obtuvo a aquel señor de los hombres. Mientras él reinó como soberano de ese país, los ríos de allí arrastraban oro junto con sus aguas.»
