वृत्ति-सत्सङ्ग-दान-धर्म

Livelihood, Virtuous Association, and Ethics of Giving

तथा देवा महात्मानो वसवश्षामितौजस: । तथैव च महात्मानावदश्चिनौ भिषजां वरौ । तथा वैश्रवणो राजा गुह्म॒कैरभिसंवृत:,इसी प्रकार वहाँ बहुत-से महामनस्वी देवता, अमित तेजस्वी वसुगण, चिकित्सकोंमें श्रेष्ठ महामना अश्विनीकुमार, शंखनिधि, पद्मनिधि तथा उत्तम ऋद्धिके साथ गुह्ुकोंसे घिरे हुए कैलासवासी यक्षपति प्रभुतासम्पन्न श्रीमान्‌ राजा कुबेर तथा महामुनि शुक्राचार्य--ये सभी परमात्मा महादेवजीकी उपासना किया करते थे

tathā devā mahātmāno vasavaś cāmitaujasaḥ | tathaiva ca mahātmānāv aśvinau bhiṣajāṃ varau | tathā vaiśravaṇo rājā guhyakair abhisaṃvṛtaḥ |

Bhīṣma dijo: Del mismo modo, allí adoraban al Señor supremo Mahādeva muchos dioses magnánimos, los Vasus de esplendor inconmensurable, y también los dos Aśvins—nobles de ánimo y los primeros entre los médicos. Asimismo el rey Vaiśravaṇa (Kubera), rodeado de los Guhyakas, le rendía culto. La enseñanza es que incluso los seres celestiales más poderosos, dotados de riqueza, rango y dones extraordinarios, sostienen el dharma mediante la devoción reverente a Mahādeva, y no por orgullo de su propia fuerza.
