तृष्णाक्षय-उपदेशः

Instruction on the Cessation of Craving

अन्यत्र तर्कशास्त्रेभ्य आगमार्थ यथागमम्‌ । मेरे मनमें एक भयानक संशय उठ खड़ा हुआ है

anyatra tarkaśāstrebhya āgamārthaṃ yathāgamam |

Kapila dijo: «Deja a un lado los tratados de mera dialéctica y expón el sentido de la Tradición sagrada (Āgama) conforme a ella misma. En mi mente ha surgido una duda terrible, y sólo tú puedes disiparla. Dijiste que, permaneciendo en la senda verdadera, puede uno contemplar aquí y ahora, de modo directo, el fruto del camino del yoga. Pregunto: del objeto que veneras, ¿cuál es su fruto más manifiesto, perceptible sin mediación, en esta misma vida? Establécelo sin apoyarte en razonamientos disputadores, para que yo comprenda de veras la intención del Āgama».
