ततः स भगवान् रुद्रो महर्षिजनसंस्तुत:,उस समय महर्षिगण रुद्रदेवकी भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा करने लगे। तब अप्रमेयस्वरूप भगवान् रुद्रने वह तलवार लेकर एक-दूसरा चतुर्भुज रूप धारण किया जो भूतलपर खड़ा होकर भी अपने मस्तकसे सूर्यदेवका स्पर्श कर रहा था
tataḥ sa bhagavān rudro maharṣijana-saṁstutaḥ | tadā maharṣigaṇā rudradevaṁ bhūri-bhūri praśaṁsante sma | tataḥ aprameya-svarūpo bhagavān rudras tāṁ khaḍgaṁ gṛhītvā anyad caturbhujaṁ rūpaṁ dhārayāmāsa, yad bhūtale tiṣṭhann api svena mastakena sūryadevaṁ spṛśati sma |
Entonces el Bienaventurado Rudra, alabado por la asamblea de grandes sabios, recibió sus repetidas aclamaciones. Tomando aquella espada, el inconmensurable Rudra asumió otra forma de cuatro brazos, tan vasta que, aun de pie sobre la tierra, su cabeza parecía tocar el Sol.
