Dharma is shown through tangible conduct: honoring and feeding one’s parents and serving those worthy of respect. Ethical life is expressed as reverent care, hospitality, and attentive service.
Bhishma describes a Niṣāda who provides his parents with varied foods—honey, meat, roots, fruits, and other dishes—doing so respectfully, and who also regularly serves other honorable people.
