Gautama–Yama Saṃvāda: Mātṛ-Pitṛ-Ṛṇa (Debt to Parents) and Śubha-Loka Attainment
एतत् कारणसामर्थ्य श्रोतुमिच्छामि तत्त्वत: । भवन्तो5पि तपोनित्या ब्रूयुरेतत् समन्विता:
etad kāraṇa-sāmarthyaṁ śrotum icchāmi tattvataḥ | bhavanto 'pi tapo-nityā brūyur etat samanvitāḥ ||
Bhīṣma dijo: «Deseo oír, en verdad y con plena claridad, acerca de esta causa y de su poder eficaz. Vosotros también estáis siempre entregados a la austeridad; por ello, reunidos y en concordia, explicad este asunto. Si mis preguntas perturban vuestra penitencia, desistiré; pero si hay tiempo para el diálogo, resolved la duda que he planteado».
