अभिशनज्ञौ युद्धधर्मस्य मम माता पिता च मे
abhiśanajñau yuddhadharmasya mama mātā pitā ca me |
Dijo Sañjaya: «Mi madre y mi padre conocen bien el dharma de la guerra. Cuando oigan la noticia de mi muerte, quedarán abatidos por el dolor. Transmíteles, a mi ruego, este mensaje: que realicé sacrificios, amparé a quienes merecían sustento y goberné bien la tierra hasta los confines del océano.»
