The Fall of Duryodhana and the Contest of Restraint
तदेवं विजय: प्राप्त: पुन: संशयित: कृत: । महान् प्रयास करके भीष्म आदि कौरवोंको मारकर विजय एवं श्रेष्ठ यशकी प्राप्ति की गयी और वैरका पूरा-पूरा बदला चुकाया गया था। इस प्रकार जो विजय प्राप्त हुई थी, उसे उन्होंने फिर संशयमें डाल दिया है
tadevaṁ vijayaḥ prāptaḥ punaḥ saṁśayitaḥ kṛtaḥ |
Dijo Vāyu: «Así, la victoria había sido en verdad alcanzada; y, sin embargo, ha sido arrojada otra vez a la duda. Aun tras un esfuerzo inmenso—después de abatir a Bhīṣma y a los demás campeones Kaurava—se aseguraron la victoria y la más alta fama, y la enemistad quedó plenamente saldada. Pero ese triunfo, ganado con tanto afán, ha sido vuelto incierto de nuevo.»
