एवमेतद्‌ यदुश्रेष्ठ कृष्टं राजर्षिणा पुरा । शक्रेण चाभ्यनुज्ञातं ब्रह्माद्यैश्व सुरैस्तथा

evam etad yaduśreṣṭha kṛṣṭaṃ rājarṣiṇā purā | śakreṇa cābhyanujñātaṃ brahmādyaiś ca surais tathā ||

«Así es, oh el mejor de los Yadu. En tiempos antiguos, esta tierra fue arada y puesta en cultivo por el sabio real Kuru; y fue sancionada y bendecida por Śakra (Indra), y asimismo por Brahmā y los demás dioses. De este modo, su santidad descansa en el esfuerzo justo del hombre, confirmado por la aprobación divina.»
