शल्यस्य सेनापत्याभ्युपगमः | Śalya’s Acceptance of Command
ततो मुहूर्त स ध्यात्वा धार्तराष्ट्री महामना: । कृपं शारद्वतं वाक्यमित्युवाच परंतप:
tato muhūrtaṃ sa dhyātvā dhārtarāṣṭrī mahāmanāḥ | kṛpaṃ śāradvataṃ vākyam ity uvāca parantapaḥ ||
Sañjaya dijo: Luego, tras reflexionar un breve instante, aquel hijo magnánimo de Dhṛtarāṣṭra—afligidor de enemigos—se dirigió a Kṛpa, hijo de Śaradvat, y respondió con estas palabras. La pausa sugiere deliberación en medio de la crisis, cuando el consejo y la responsabilidad pesan antes de que se hable en el consejo de guerra.
